Spanish　Elementary  (Grades 11/12)
This course introduced the students to basic Spanish grammar and vocabulary. Students learn how to make up sentences and how to conjugate verbs. In addition, students develop skills for using the Spanish language in everyday life. Simple communication is emphasized through oral presentations, interviews, and hands-on projects. Students are introduced to listening, speaking, reading and writing. Spanish culture is introduced through exposure to texts, magazines, newspapers, music and movies.

Spanish　Intermediate (Grades 11/12)
This is an Intermediate Spanish Class. Students learn more complex grammatical structures, present tense, past tense, vocabulary, and writing paragraphs. This course stresses speaking and writing through oral presentations, group work projects, going Spanish places, and exposure to authentic objects, and pictures from foreign countries. Spanish Intermediate develops the study of culture through videos, reading foreign books, magazines, and newspapers.

Chinese　Intermediate (Grades 11/12)

中国は、今日、世界においてますますその存在感を増している。中国語を学ぶということは、学生にとって、ビジネスであれ、研究であれ、将来のキャリアと直結する可能性が高いといえる。また日本と中国には、歴史的に深いつながりがあり、さらに現在の中国が多くの問題を抱えていることも事実である。こうした国を理解し、また相手にこちらを理解してもらう第一の手だては、やはりその言語だといえる。
中国語は、漢字を使って表記され、日本人にとっては、親しみやすいという面もあるが、基本的な文の語順は英語等と同じであり、動詞の時制表現が無いなど日本語とは大きく異なる面もある。また同じ漢字だが、実際の書き方、意義と使用方法について、微妙な差異も存在する。
選択科目である「中国語基礎」と「中国語中級」の授業では、このような点を含め、発音、文法、字意、使用を中心に学習し、基礎を固めてゆく。これらを学んでいく過程で、生徒は、その背景にある中国の文化や中国人の思考法についても興味、関心、疑問を持ちながら学んでゆく。
２年間効率よく速いペースで中国語を勉強すれば、世界標準中国語検定新上から二番目にレバルの高い５級まで合格することができる。これは中国名門理工系大学の留学生基準となる。
このような目標を出発点として、中国語授業は設定され、生徒からの質問は、教員にとってもよい刺激であり、研究の糧となる。質問に対する答えを考える過程で、改めて中国語や日本語について考え、新たな発見をすることができ、このように双方向のコミュニケーションにより活性度の高い授業となることを目指す。
