Nihongo
Nihongo 9/10 (9th -10th Grade)
The purpose of the Nihongo class is to master basic Japanese language skills. It is designed to prepare students for 11th grade Kokugo classes. They practice kanji and read various types of essays to gain vocabulary. Also, students will create summaries and essays in order to improve their writing skills. Kokugo Nihongo department will decide whether or not it is necessary for students to take the Nihongo class. This course is based on student’s levels.
Nihongo 11 (11th Grade)
The purpose of the Nihongo class is to teach advanced Japanese language skills. Students will practice advanced kanji, readings, and writings. They will improve their Japanese skills and also gain knowledge about Japanese culture. It is designed to prepare students for 12th grade Kokugo class. Kokugo Nihongo department will decide whether or not it is necessary for students to take the Nihongo class.
| Course offerings and course contents may vary academic year to academic year depending on registering student numbers, instructors and/or instructors’ availability. This includes the possibility of a course being not available for a certain grade due to scheduling difficulty even though the registration list says that the course will be offered to 11th&12th grade, for example. |
