Commuter students have the following choices for transportation to and from the school.
1. Keio Academy Bus Service
Keio Academy of New York offers a bus service provided by a private bus company for students living in Cos Cob, Greenwich, Old Greenwich, and Riverside, Connecticut; and Rye Brook and Rye, New York. The Keio bus runs according to the Academy's schedule. The Keio Bus Service fee is $6,500 (as of 2013-2014). Contracts with the bus service are typically renewed each academic year, unless the number of students requesting the service is under our required minimum number of passengers.
2. New York State District Bus Service
In general, the District Bus is available for private school students provided that they live within a 15 mile radius of their school. The District Bus schedules are based on their own school district schedules. Parents are responsible for maintaining contact with the district they live in regarding these schedules because they may not match our school schedule. Every year, buses from three or four districts stop at the Academy.
3. Commuting by Private Vehicle
Students who live in the area and do not use the Keio Academy Bus Service or District Bus Service can commute to school by private vehicle, but only accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. All students (commuters and boarders) are prohibited from driving.
