Science

The goal of the Science Department is to build a deep interest in science in all of our students, instilling in them a strong curiosity in the world around them as well as helping them to develop strong problem solving skills that will help them greatly in the future. In addition, we strive to offer the highest level of science education to prepare our students for future science studies in university. To achieve this goal, we strive to connect our lessons with real world science and include a strong laboratory component to every class. In addition, science classes are taught primarily in English, to help the students develop language skills that will aid them greatly in the future.

The science curriculum is focused on challenging every student to his/her maximum ability, and as such, from the 10th grade, all courses are offered both in the intermediate level as well as the honors level. Students in the intermediate level are continuously challenged to perform above their ability, and are regularly assessed with the option of being promoted to the honors level class.
