沿革・使命
慶應義塾ニューヨーク学院（高等部）は、日本の有名私立大学である慶應義塾大学が慶應義塾一貫教育校として、海外在住の日本人家族のニーズを受け、1990年に開校されました。
慶應義塾創設者である福澤諭吉の精神を受け継ぎ、バイリンガルでバイカルチュラルなカリキュラムを通じて、21世紀を担う国際的なリーダーに育てる努力をしている個性的な私立学校です。
慶應義塾ニューヨーク学院は、米国ニューヨーク州教育委員会とニューヨーク州私立学校協会に認証されている共学の私立高校です。
2001年には、ニューヨーク州私立学校連盟（NYSAIS）に認可され、2011年、及び2023年に再度認可を受けました。また、全米大学入試相談連盟、大学教育委員会、国際教育者連盟のメンバーでもあります。
Mission Statement
Keio Academy of New York promotes trans-Pacific, trans-cultural and trans-disciplinary learning. The mission of Keio Academy of New York is to develop, foster and utilize “tri-cultural’ education by combining the best of Japanese, American and Keio cultures, to produce graduates who have a strong sense of “moral-independence” and “self-reliance” which has been a Keio tradition since Keio Gijuku’s establishment by Fukuzawa Yukichi in 1858.
This Mission Statement is conventionally used with the following description depending on the purposes of publications.
Keio Academy of New York aims to provide a bilingual and bicultural education in Japanese and English in a predominantly boarding setting for students aged 13 to 19 preparing for admission to Keio University in Tokyo or other universities around the world. Through innovating and disciplined teaching the Academy seeks to create a community of learning grounded in academic ambition, intellectual integrity and strong ethical principles. Our cocurricular programs of sport, music, debating, public speaking and community service cultivate in our students a lively collaborative social and cultural awareness, self-respect and self-discipline, fitting them to contribute energetically in their university studies and take their place as independentminded global leaders
