Boys Basketball - Varsity
The Keio boy’s basketball program has come a long way since our inception. We have been able to compete at a very respectable level year in and year out. Our boys program is known for its tenacity on the defensive side of the court, and our ability to keep pressure on our opponents from the first whistle to the end of the game. It is due to our commitment to defense and sound play on offense that we have become a very respectable team in our section.
The boys are coached by Stan Hamlet, who has been the Boys Varsity coach for the past 7 years. He has coached in the past at various schools in the area, including The Franklin School, as well as Valley Stream, Horace Greeley, Briarcliff and Port Chester High School. Coach Hamlet has also coached the Girls Varsity team from 2005-2010.
Under his tutelage, the boys have gone on to compete in sectionals and have made three County Center appearances (2013, 2015, and 2017).
Through unselfish play, disciplined offense and pressure defense the team looks forward to another promising season.
