On Thursday, December 2nd, Keio Academy of New York held an “Oreinokai” (appreciation dinner) at the Tokyo American Club to thank donors for their support of the 25th Anniversary Projects, which was kicked off on April 10th, 2014.
The event began with a presentation from Headmaster Kono regarding the progress of the projects and a fundraising report. As of November 30th, 2016, we have raised $1,544,289.30 in the United States, and ￥180,896,920 in Japan. Thanks to your support, we were able to exceed our fundraising goal. We appreciate your support from the bottom of our hearts.
Following the presentation, former headmaster and advisor Prof. Sakomura extended his greetings and offered a toast in celebration. The 120 guests then enjoyed a pleasant evening mingling with each other.
Lastly, Keio University Vice President and Keio Academy of New York Board Chairperson Prof. Kokuryo closed the reception with his remarks.
Starting next year, we will continue our Annual Giving campaign which aims to establish an endowment, in addition to increasing Alumni Association events.
We humbly ask for your continued support.
